poorfag here, don't have the space for it

>he sleeps in a bunk bed
lol

I don't.

I have an old hitachi crt paired with a fat ps2. i also collect old vinyl if that counts. i like the design of old electronics but i think >95% of them have lost all usefulness. you'd be lying to yourself if you said otherwise.

Yes but I don't have space. I have a bunch of old consoles, a CRT, and some old receivers from the 70's. I'm probably going to get rid of the CRT because of the space thing. It's literally hoarding.

Oldest tech I own is a VHS player.

I collect and use old music gear. I have an old guitar preamp from 1990, carvin power amp, yamaha spx50d effects unit from the late 80s, an Ashly eq from the 70s, and a compressor from the 80s. Looking to get an old film camera or two as well

How are those tape reels? Do you use them?

It's so hard to find a reasonably priced crt monitor

i have an old receiver.
i don't collect old shit i just sometimes buy it if it makes sense (like stereo equipment).

Because vintage music equipment somehow isn't gay? Some faggot paying $100k for a shitty old guitar just because it's got magic varnish and PAF pickups, magical "plexi" amps.

Analog synth insanity, Buchla and Moog costing as much as a car, other craziness.

It's just as gay, but you don't even have any of the high $$$ stuff so you are "mouth at the back of the interstate bathroom glory hole" tier gay.

great points, sailor. Thanks

i use a pair of sony pcm-501es and a pioneer sx6 from '79 as the speaker output

pcm adapters are cool, they are meant to record 16-bit audio to a composite signal so you can put high quality music on a video tape when attached to a vcr. however, if you loop the video output into itself they just act like amps. i have the main one hooked to a pc with some speakers on its rca outputs, and its copy output (a single rca cable) is running across the room to the second one which has the receiver, a sub, and speakers attached to it, so if i want nice 360-degree roomfilling sound all i have to do is turn on the second unit.
