How is this possible? I thought microcontrollers didn't even have an operating system.

If only the Raspberries weren't sold out everywhere...

it's up

>microcontroller
>raspberry pi

pick one you mongoloid.

Doom ran on a 66 MHz 80486, so there's no wonder it can run on a 133 MHz ARM CPU (and a dual core one to boot, although they probably use the second core only for peripheral I/O)

except it's a literal fucking microcontroller you imbecile

Pi Pico is a microcontroller you fucking retard

i will pay $8 to not play doom

You don't need more, it's objectively the best game ever made.

Isn't Doom like 4 megabytes though

But you can't buy any RasbPi.
The lowest spec one goes for 40$ on ebay

it probably uses some SD card swap tricks to cut down on memory usage

Ebin xdd

As long as my debit card can't run doom I dont care.

> M0+
> 32bit ARMv6
Impressive, but on the other hand, hardly impressive.
Linux when?

>linux
>256k RAM
when you patch the kernel to use 10x less memory

>Dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ processor, flexible clock running up to 133 MHz
>264KB on-chip SRAM
Nope thats definitely an SOC

idk, there cold be some shield to employ DDR2 or DDR3 SODIMM. It's a stupid idea, but since new Pis are $150 or more, it starts making sense.

Everyone point at the idiot and laugh
You don't belong here, leave

The makers call it a microcontroller.

A SoC usually implies a chip with more integrated peripherals (but usually external memory)
