High pressure sodium lights vs LEDs

High pressure sodium lights vs LEDs

What are the advantages/disadvantages for street lighting?

LEDs are turning the frogs gay

The orange lights evoke feelings of nostalgia (and look better in movies) but from all practical points LEDs are better

They are both bad. The street should be completely dark at night.

LED:
+ energy efficient
- PHOTOGRAPHY RUINED

this
stop wasting electricity, moreover, it disturbs the nocturnal life cycles of various creatures

such as the niggus africanus

put orange filter over leds ez.

LED: Hurts eyes.
HPS: Doesn't hurt.

Simple as.

>souless
>SOVL

You cant tell a nigger and a normal person apart under the orange light. Led is much safer and you know when to draw your gun

since when do the Any Forumstards wake up so early?

>LED pros
Cheaper
Consumes less power
Lights up more shit
>HPSL
Full of sodium, a sodium that a young body needs

Right: soulless

you know street lights were made to prevent crimes right? and it works.

There's no street lights on my street, nor any crime. All white families too (just a coincidence).

You can't kick LED lanterns to turn them off temporarily, so there's that.

Soul vs soulless

But if it's so dark literally nobody can see anything how would crime be committed? Niggas got night vision goggles?

soulless | SOUL

Let's note two things in the left picture:
>You can distinguish colors much worse. If drivers can't see you as well, you're more likely to be hit. If you're driving and can't see as well, you're more likely to hit something.
>You can see the light blasting out of the street light, even though you're viewing it from above. This is wasted light that does nothing but go up in the sky and ruin the view of the stars for everyone.
The LEDs in the right picture have neither of these problems.

LED light is harmful for humans, and there's no proof it ever saved anyone from an accident. Now, make your own opinions based on that. You'll see.

>LED light is harmful for humans
Source: your ass
>there's no proof it ever saved anyone from an accident
There's no proof that it didn't either, and it's common sense that you're more likely to run into things when you can't see as well.
>Now, make your own opinions based on that
And you can make yours based on that.

>LED light is harmful for humans
( X ) DOUBT

Sodium bulbs produce such terrible light they have negative CRI.
LEDs are at least 60, usually >80

SOVL
soulless

Left looks like shit

Left looks amazing IRL, right is for surveillance cucks and their cameras

Nobody should be out this late to begin with. You really have to go through the dark for whatever reason once a year? Take a flashlight with you.
This too.

>Nobody should be out this late to begin with
What did he mean by that?

this.

One of the sodium lamps on my street died and got replaced by an led one. It makes the street feel more hostile in a way, not sure how to describe it. The light also leaks so much farther. I’m gonna miss walking past the sodium ones early in the morning and having them slowly turn off as I go past, slightly out of sync with one another.
>it’s just a lamp!
Your surroundings and architecture play a lot into your well-being.
