Assembly programming

Hello Any Forums, I'm trying to implement some trigonometric routines, but I don't want to rely on the standard library.
How can I write the sin() function from scratch in x86 assembly?

There's literally an fsin instruction retard

Apparently the accuracy of that one is very bad.

repent, sinner

so....is this a 2D coom or a 3D coom?

A naive way to do it (since I don’t know how it’s actually implemented in more advanced libraries) is to add however many terms of the Taylor Series are required for the precision you need. Other than that, do your own homework

gura looks like THAT?

are there any classes out there having kids implement sin in asm? based if true.

if i were you id look into the gnu standard library, math.h prob has a descriptiong out there somewhere

It's an image so it's 2D. A video would have been 3D.

user, i...

I implemented it using Taylor, now I'm figuring out how to call printf to print out the result to check if it's correct

nakadashi

nah, I'm just doing it for my own enjoyment.

why are you trying to print shit in asm

what should I do instead?

turns out i misunderstood how x87 works

Cute model, just wish it wasn’t some roastie.

Why are you using x87? Every x86_64 CPU has SSE2 at bare minimum.

Holy shit. She looks literally just like me
