• Why use a PMP instead of a phone? >better DAC/AMP >more output power so it can drive higher impedance headphones >smaller sizes than phones for activities like exercise >physical buttons >headphone jacks >some people can't use smartphone at work/use dumbphones
• How to request advice: >Budget >Source (phone or PMPs) >Location >Kind (in-ears or earbuds) >Sound Signature (or genres you like, important!) >Past gear and your thoughts on them (important!)

what do you mean? right ear cable (marked R or colored red usually) goes in right piece and the other one goes in the left one. just push the little pins in the holes
Xavier Young
not him, but do you put the colored dot on the back or front? my autism always put it facing back. obviously doesnt apply to hooks, but yeah.
Jeremiah Cruz
figure out which way the IEM goes in the ear, and put the hooks in in a way that makes them loop around the ear with the correct cable per side dummy

gotcha. follow up question what do i do if im too much of an audiolet to notice a difference between a bud like this and the wf 1000xm4......
Gabriel Edwards
how can iems be so detailed? im noticing some of these instruments for the first time, the drums sound and organs have a nice quick dry sound like in real life, buzzing synths dont sound fatiguing like buzzing synths out of detailed headphones, notes sound incredibly fast and precise.
Sweat damage finally did the right bud in for my FD1 after about two years. If I'm getting new buds for workouts, which is what I used my previous pair for, will I get a better lifespan if I actually keep them in a ziploc with silica gel this time? Will I get enough increase in lifespan that I can spring for something better, or am I better off sticking with sub-$100 beaters I won't mind replacing?
