Literally the ONLY reason to buy AMD at all right now is if you prefer AMD PSP to Intel ME.
Jayden Anderson
if i currently have a define r5 wouldn't a define 7 be the next logical step for getting a new case?
John Bell
oh, come on, let's be fair
its also a good idea for people who already have amd mobos that can run 5000series chips with a bios update
but yea, joking aside the OP has been commandeered by amd shills for at least the past month if it was not, no amd cpu or gpu would be up there
Luke Rogers
nope. if you want to stick to fractal, you should be getting a meshify define internals, mesh front ofc there are other cases out there, many who can seriously claim to be superior in at least some respects
Isaiah Bailey
GPUs would be up there for Linux and also price/performance
The 6500 XT is unironically the best deal you can find on a GPU\
$220 only $20 above MSRP and in the real world the only thing wrong with it is it got """bad""" reviews.
issue is i dont like the front of the meshify and i think its ugly as fuck
Colton Roberts
Will I have issues running 4 DIMMS at high frequencies (3600-4000mhz) Gear 1 on a Z690 board? Should I just run 2 sticks instead?
Evan Thompson
Just run two at the same speed to keep it simple
Thomas Ortiz
>GPUs would be up there for Linux agreed on going amd for linux but its a very uncommon use case, does not merit including the cards in the op
>also price/performance that ofc depends on the local prices but for me, not even close. whatever small raster advantage per $ amd has is very easily overshadowed by DLSS primarily but also superior nvidia perf in opengl, d3d11, emulation and ofc for people who care for non-gaming workloads, nvidia is obligatory for cuda/nvenc reasons
>6500 XT literally the most shitted on gpu that i can recall of.
>$220 only $20 above MSRP that msrp is a joke, it should be $100 max imo a $500 3060 is a far better deal but ofc all this is academic people who care about a good deal should waitchad for a couple months more...
John Miller
so don't look at it
Jackson Taylor
im personally quite partial to the be quiet 802 and the phanteks p600s see gamersnexus case reviews for more options
do not get a case without a mesh front it really improves thermal perf (and therefore noise) quite noticeably.
Connor Rogers
>but its a very uncommon use case Haven't been on Any Forums much in years but get the fuck out of Any Forums
>literally the most shitted on gpu that i can recall of. That's why it's so cheap and such a great deal.
Alexander Brown
The BIOS update is supposed to be able to be done with the 5000 cpu installed, usually through a usb stick. There were even rumours that the board would be incompatible with older ryzens once updated, but it doesnt seem like they came through. But yeah, this whole situation is a pain in the ass. Zen3 has been out for well over a year and we still don't have cheap motherboards that support it reliably.
Daniel Bell
Is the Darkflash DLM21 mesh case any good at $57?
Julian Sanders
>The 6500 XT is unironically the best deal you can find on a GPU lmao. just buy a 1650 for the same price.
Cameron Hughes
>Darkflash DLM21 Kinda looks like a regular office case that houses a 2007 core 2 duo covered in a plastic case to make it look like a gaming PC
Juan Parker
I think it looks pretty elegant tbqh
Colton Bailey
It looks good on the outside, I agree. My issue its with its interior.
AMDrone OP, can't even compare graphics cards correctly 6900 XT get gets beaten at 4K by the 3080 12 GB, and the Ti is a tier above. And that's of course not counting DLSS
The 6700 XT's competitor is the 3060 Ti, not the 3070 5900X is massively overpriced vs the 12700F
>6900 XT get gets beaten at 4K by the 3080 12 GB Isnt that only true with ray tracing? Because AMD has pretty much recognized that they cant compete with nvidia RT-wise thins generation and have waived the flag.
Matthew Bailey
Looks good enough to me. What's the issue? No rubber on the cable exits?
Noah Young
is it even possible to build a well specced computer in 2022 without RGB shit?
Gabriel Cooper
6700XT ALREADY UNDER 599$ ON NEWEGG BRAND NEW FREE SHIPPING IN STOCK, NOT BEING BOUGHT OUT AT ALL JUST SITTING THERE IN SURPLUS, NOT EVEN A SINGLE CARD IS GOING. WITH FREE XBOX PASS THROWN IN AS WELL
AHAHAHAHAH SCALPIE ARE YOU OKAY? BETTER SELL YOUR 10 6700XT SCALPED STOCKPILE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! A 6700XT IS GOING TO BE MSRP BY FUCKING MID APRIL AHAHAHAHA. SCALPERS ON SUICIDE WATCH
The way its pieces are cut look very cheap. The edges are sharp, which will definitely cut your hands and may indicate some degree of flimsiness. Rubber on cable exits would be good but not really necessary. I say that as a cm 690 owner, which is not a particularly high-end case.
Liam Fisher
Know any good mATX alternatives at a decent price?
Joseph Foster
I think that the highest end cards without rgb right now are some models of the 3050 from palit and galax and maybe a Titan V. Of course, you can just ignore it...
Grayson Hill
boo hoo fag
Josiah Hall
nope ill just go full RGB and set it all ti white if i cant stay away from it i might as well go full tilt
Owen Wright
yea but this is a good thing since 6700xt is literally 120$ away from msrp price and dropping literally by the day. fucking TWO WEEKs ago a 6700xt cost 800$ and now they are under 600$ brand new in the box and bots aren't even buying them to scalp because they know its over. If people buy 6700xt, 3060ti and likewise 3070 price has to come down.
