My HDD is still working fine after 11 years

My HDD is still working fine after 11 years.
I've had so many games, movies and hentai stored on it since I've got it, we've been through a lot. I love you, my HDD.

Here's to another 11 years.

Looks fine, but have backups. Keep monitoring C5 and C6. If it gets worse just replace the drive. It can fail any time now. But at the same time it can work for a few more years. Nobody can tell for sure.

Btw... I have a Seagate drive that's similar to yours. I just want to see how long till it dies. It's been like this for at least 3 years.

I have this drive since 2006. So that's about 15 years. I'd say that's pretty good.

My WD is dead

My 4 Hitachi 1TB are still going strong after 40k hours

That's definitely bad. Backup and throw it away or use it as a scratch drive for data that's not important.
Screenshot?

>continue using a bad drive
you're asking for corrupt data, dont use it, throw it out, get another, even if you use btrfs with all of the features present scanning and repairing, the best it can do for you in that situation is tell you it's bad

Imagine holding onto a drive for more than 3 years. That thing has spent more time out of warranty than it has in.

I specifically said for that that's not important. I know you suffer from dyslexia but that's not my fault.

Not bad. Load Cycle Count a bit high but nothing serious.

If that's your HDD, 33100 hours is only 3.8 years of running time.
I had a 74GB Raptor that was more than double that and had no errors.

So what?

Jesus Christ what sort of shithole has this poor warranty?!?

Most consumer drives are 2 years.
If you buy something like a 10k or 15k RPM drive you may get 5 years.

Fuck western digital for buying Hitachi's wardriven division and ruining it.

>500 bad sectors

>shizuku edition
I'm thinkin' based

I bought my Hitachi's used after they spend their lives in a data center.
Out of my 10 or so identical hitachis that's the only one with issues.

Have you already tested it with a long SMART test and a full disk write and read?
