Will anything ever beat it?

Will anything ever beat it?

xmplay and aimp did a long time ago.

nope
nope

foobar2000 still beats it. I deliberately went back to WinAmp just to see if it would be better, but it has issues and just doesn't work as cleanly as foobar. Did manage to get WinAmp visualizations in my foobar, though.

>move to linux
>"install audacious bro it's the same lol"
>install it
>"heh neat... wait a second"
>no library
>gotta manually select dirs or fucking playlists

No. Really, nothing will beat winamp.

dat was my skin...sigh

musicbee

Based Modern skin user
Fuck Bentofags

Amarok has existed for a long time bro.

it was a really good skin, loved it

itunes

No Linux player has a proper (working) library like Winamp with a good/customizable UI. I use Deadbeef and just open directories.

I just use mpv with mc.

I can't believe fucking winamp was the aesthetic peak of software

I have this lil nigga back in My computer after a decade. I missed so much compact UIs like you wouldn't believe bros. Why everything has to cater to Muh touchscreen fags nowadays

The best thing is docking it and having it slide in and out. No other software does such a basic but useful UI.

The only thing with an actually close library that works natively in Linux is quod libet. Ugly as shit, and tmk there is no way of having as much info displayed in a single window as winamp, but it least it has a functional library

Winamp died decades ago.
foobar buried its corpse.

wasnt it foobar2000

Winamp
>Winamp
It Really Whips the Llama's Ass
>baa

Thanks I've switched to foobar.
