Start writing tests, port to vanilla javascript, piss in old dev's coffee
>port to vanilla javascript
why
I think transpiling to a language that is perfectly easy to write is just weird. Typescript doesn't save you from runtime issues, it just tries really hard to save you at "compile" time
Like the other user said start writing tests. But I'd suggest to update existing functions with types once you actually get the tests done.
Assuming you're working fairly independently (so not big corpo scrum shit), just start somewhere and start unfucking the type declarations one at a time.
If you're in a corpo role then either pinch your nose or use it as leverage to force a rewrite later for fuck-all money.
>Typescript but all types are any
Chad
ok sure , gonna start somewhere
the previous dev is a girl
When in Rome. Fuck testing, it’s the one thing I’ve never fully had to do on the job and I’m glad. Just pure wild code
Terrible advice, tests are going to be your life saver. For every bug you fix there should be at least one new test.
sauce on the coffee
I would fucking leave
What direction have you ended up taking OP? I want an update. Are you dropping typescript? Writing tests? Doing anything?
Don't bother, she dates a black guy
>the previous dev is a girl
Stacy then.
How do I know she's not a tranny? Simple, a tranny would have gone whole-hog on the type system for "safety."
jassene.postblock
writing test will stick to TS
ive read her file and met her in person chubby asian chick
Any nude/porn? I don't care about the bitch's life.
Just change it over to vanilla JS. Everyone knows it's a tranny language now.
Why not take advantage of the benefits TS does give you? I always miss quality intellisense when using vanilla JS.
I don't understand why people like languages with no strong typing. Do you really like making things harder for yourself for no reason? Or have you just never used a strongly typed language before, so you have no idea how much better your IDE suddenly becomes when it knows the types?
why are asian women so ugly?
