where are the magnum condoms in that picture?

It's already becoming so. Unless you're some hyper-specialized hotshot we're barely above accountants in the pecking order nowadays.

No. Programming is getting more complicated and complex (just look at modern web dev). Also, barriers to entry are getting bigger (more education, more experience required), and computer literacy is going down (computers are so easy to use, little technical knowledge is required to use them).

well, you compete with... wait for it....

....the whole fucking world.

sirs....

No. Everything that is easy/trivial for a novice to do has already been done and automated and made open source 100 times over. All of the desirable programming jobs are highly specialized and requires years of education.

I hope so. Programmers are grossly overpaid, and many of them smell bad..

it's easy to hammer a nail into wood, but you still hire a carpenter to build a house.

programming has been a low class job for at least 10 years

aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... why patriarchy always win?

it already is a low class job. you're highly paid white collar factory workers. money goes in, wagies do work, software comes out. are you really telling me that you've never noticed how decision makers (legal, marketing, advertising, sales, corporate finance, etc.) treat you with absolute disdain in meetings? kek.
>CHOP CHOP WAGIES!
>YOU WILL MAKE THE SPRINT DEADLINE -- OR ELSE!

they are persons who do business

.t no job

this

>computer literacy is going down
You're dead wrong.
There are so many people that simply don't know what things as basic as directories are that it's impossible to claim they know how to use computers in any way, shape or form. These people only know how to download programs from the Apple/MS stores and use said applications (only the features that are strictly necessary).
Motherfuckers don't even know Windows has a control panel.

Illiterate
