i love this guys software so much omg

literally who

>Covid Royal

his software sure has some funny vulnerabilities

Calibre is nice but for some reason I can't zoom/rotate images that aren't the book cover in the reader, which is essential because LNs have vertical images and small kana i can't read without zooming in
I stopped using its reader in favor of sumatraPDF which works just fine for epubs.

covid goy (et) al

the Calibre guy
Yeah, he's a competent software engineer and Calibre just works in my experience.

>he's a competent software engineer

>Just a note about all the histrionics around "critical" security
exploits. calibre is designed to run mainly on end user computers (single
user, typically a desktop or a laptop). On such a machine if a malicous program
can run with user privileges it already has access to everything that actually
matters on the system, namely the user's data. Privilege escalation would be
useful only in trying to hide the traces of the intrusion. The damage is
already done. Undoubtedly there are plenty of scenarios where that is not
true, but the fact remains that for the vast majority of calibre users, this
is a non issue. So kindly tone down the hyperbole, and restrict your posts to
discussion of calibre-mount-helper, otherwise you will be ignored.
HOLY BASED

>HOLY BASED
at the end he ended up having to delete his suid binary because everyone of his "fixes" was actually creating a new vulnerability. it was hilarious.

>cursor
it is still set to block you silly Gavin goose which you'll still see in editors and such, but there's a new feature to show a different one on the shell prompt /which you can turn off/

that aside, Gentoo been holding off stabilizing 0.24.x while issues are ironed out (there's already several fixes lined up for future 0.24.3).. so use stable if you don't want to be testing this and preferably reporting issues rather than complain randomly on your blog

>new feature
on that note, it's part of the shell integration thing which is handy

like the bit where you can select the entire output of a command with a single bind/click and copy, open it in a pager, or scroll back to the command (after a wall of output) even if you didn't use | $PAGER or so

>waah the dev was mean to me
kys

>"Nooo tmux is shit!"
>gets proven wrong
>locks the thread
many such cases, huge L.

>Covid Goy(al)

tmux is a shit cope
it implements a terminal emulator on top of a terminal emulator which is absolutely retarded
tmux vimtards should just use emacs

I, for one, am looking forward to kitty reinventing that wheel and will probably use it.

(tmux-like features for remote sessions is in kitty's todo)

Yikes, I really need to find an alternative to calibre written by a white man
