Will Apple really start scanning every file on your computer with the next OS release?

Will Apple really start scanning every file on your computer with the next OS release?
Why would any sane person want to buy $2000 laptops from this company that outright tells you these draconian shits.

Do you have something to hide, hmm?

>Apple implements voluntary opt-in parental controls
>childless person who has never been within 5 feet of an iPhone gets angry

>All it takes is one data breach and the whole city knows you worship Mariana Cordoba's cock as an idol you pray to.
Wonderful.

Yes

>Will Apple really start scanning every file on your computer
>start
They've been doing this since forever, remember when their GateKeeper server went offline a few years ago and no one could open any applications if they were connected to a network?

This. Not sure why Any Forums spergs withes their riced Pinephones care about a parental control feature on a platform they don’t use. I can also disable the app store entirely on my kids phones, do you think that will become a standard feature too Op?

>i don't think about android users at all
>says the first person to bring up android in the thread

>I-Its totally not the android using majority on Any Forums that seethes about iPhones!
Must be those damn Symbian users, right?

op didn't compare this to anyone else, the only other product he mentioned was apple laptops, not even other phones

I'd love a feature like that, but it should work on any picture containing porn or nudity

>the family is heterosexual
Ugh, Apple. Come on. Get on with the times.

>the scanning only happens for images that are uploaded to icloud
>the scanning happens on the device instead of on the server
>competing cloud platforms like dropbox, google drive, and even messaging apps like snapchat and facebook messenger already scan for CSAM content on the server
If anything Apple's approach is more private than competitors

Apple removed mentions of CSAM compliance everywhere for the moment. Some guys managed to create a bunch of false positives to prove how retarded it was, I guess it may have helped. I hope it'll stay dead.

kek
catalina is horrible

Good riddance. Dick pics are disgusting.

Nope. They just removed as much public information as legally possible to try to distance themselves from the issue without changing anything. It’s obvious that Apple is being pressured by glowniggers to implement this dystopian trash so they are doing whatever they can to do so while minimizing damage to their brand (which has ironically become a “privacy” brand recently).

it's over iNcels

They'll sneak it back in when the heat has died down. They always do.
I switched to Android and it's better anyway, not going back.

that's fucked up

CSAM scanning code has been in iOS devices since iOS 14 IIRC. It has never been removed since then.

It isn't active. What I mean by "sneak it back in" is bring back their plans to flip the switch and activate the "feature".

>Sensitive photos and videos show the private body parts that you cover with bathing suits.
Written with literal toddlers in mind. Where is Satania?
