What's a good linux distro to use? I currently use debian unstable.

Debian unstable is good

No. just no, I don't wanna become a generic asshole that has a bloated ego.

Linux Mint Cinnamon for the sane and normal user.
Linux Mint XFCE for the same kind of user whose computer happens to be a potato.
Fedora Gnome if you like a little eccentricity and want to be where new things are being developed.
Manjaro KDE if you like playing lego with your desktop while knowing fully well it will never look 100% like you envisioned it no matter how much you mess with it.

Will look into it then.

It's over for Mint.

looks like some mediocre XFCE shit

Xubuntu

retard isn't a slur you retard

You will never be a woman.

that concludes the "get called a slur" speedrun

Cool. Nice.

It is so fucking over for Linux Mint it's not even funny.

Fedora Kinoite. It's an immutable system (like Silverblue) that you only very sparingly "layer" packages overtop. Usually, you'll install flatpaks, or use a "toolbox" to install normal packages (for a development environment) which has access to your home address.

huh. interesting

Seriously, I recommend Artix since it installs easy if you want a DE. Otherwise it's like Arch which isn't that bad if you just read the wiki (it genuinely helps a lot)
Void is nice too, they both use around 70-80mb of RAM on boot in TTY and boot in less than like 20 sec.

ah, I guess it's possible to install i3wm (what I use), configure it, and uninstall the DE artix came with.

I use Arch for several reasons
I prefer KDE Plasma and it is as up to date as Neon
I get the latest kernel
I get AUR
I don't need the latest GCC because I never compile anything from source.

Yeah, I did that (Artix, now moved to DWM) and it sat at roughly 130mb on boot.
But the only reason I care about minimalism besides efficiency is the fact I run it on an HP 2000 Notebook that has 4gb ddr3 and a Pentium b960

Best distro is most likely debian unstable

Does your distro have anything that annoyances you that can't be fixed? No? --> debian unstable

Does your distro have something you can't do? No? -> debian unstable
