I am actually really serious. I miss the cleanliness and streamilined-ness of WP8. I only used an android phone (my current one) after i had to ditch my lumia 930 (before the 930 i had a 920 and a 900) because whatsapp dropped support and the store closed. So i was considering apple. Funny thing, all the app equivalent i was looking for on iOS were actually present, and quite good, on WP.

seeing your questions i can tell you iOS isnt for you. You could try it and return it in time but im 99% sure you will hate it like i did. Its as locked down as a video game console vs PC

There is acually a reader app in the app store but it was originally made for 2ch so it lacks some features. It also has ads (note the empty black spot near the bottom) but those can be blocked on the DNS level which you'll probably want to do anyway because of the lack of good content blockers in safari. It does however allow playing webms in app by converting them to mp4 so there's that
