I want to ask about javascript problem in our modern internet. Well I do not want to browse with javascript enabled. So it seems I have two options:
1) Disable javascript on uBlock Origin. 2) Use NoScript.
Which is the best /psg/? For my experiences, lets say some site does not work, with NoScript I can chose which script will work or which not work myself, so I can disable Google things in NoScript. But in uBlock, when site does not work I just "disable js for this site" and now all scripts (Googles included) works.
So I say NoScript is maybe better because it gives you more control in this topic. But in othey way, NoScript sometimes make sites does not work when uBlock has no issus. What do you think?
This is slightly out of date, but still a good resource. youtube.com/watch?v=2lisQQmWQkY Really all you need to do is learn the concept of nooping, that means you can put a gray square on the domain you want to allow JS on or you can noop the entire 3p level but putting a gray square on the right 3rd-party scripts block. It may take a little time to learn this, but it's the most effective way to manage javashit imo.

Chromium & Firefox have heaps of telemetry, arguably impossible to disable in settings or about:config. Use ungoogled chromium, you want the option to disable JS, cookies and external images.
Jaxson Ward
Chromium doesn't have any telemetry. Google also drops API calls from any browser that isn't Chrome.
Landon Kelly
Technically not telemetry, but still phoning home: update.googleapis.com redirector.gvt1.com apis.google.com translate.googleapis.com safebrowsing.googleapis.com accounts.google.com
Last time I checked, you can't disable accounts and translate. If your less paranoid than me, I guess a few calls to google servers is okay.

>Firefox have heaps of telemetry Show where? Im using hardened Firefox btw.
Samuel Martin
You can turn all those off with settings and flags. Disable translate, safebrowsing, and signins, then add: --disable-background-networking --disable-component-updates

LOL, after trying to get used to "medium mode" I noticed something about DDG.
I just realized, I sometimes see ddg on other website with uBO, y'know like how google and facebook always appear on sites, are they tracking me? I have 3rd party blocked so it wouldn't matter but still.
Charles Perez
if you guys have nothing to hide, why care so much about privacy?
