After going 4K and 144Hz. I cannot go back again.
FHD just looks nasty. Never really had that feeling before going from 1600x1200 on CRT to FHD on flat panel.
Thing holding us back is the price mark up, with the funny production lines in China right now.

Hauwei has a 3:2 4K panel that I’ve been strongly considering. But yes, 16:10 is dead. Some laptops have it, but you won’t find modern panels in 16:10 for your desktop

For me it happened last year.
My TV, my home desktop monitor and my office monitor are all 4K.
I just wished my 14" laptop had a 4K screen instead of QHD.
It's especially nice to mirror the PC monitor with the TV instead of having to switch screens.

There's still some models being sold but I don't think that saying it's dead is too far from the thruth. I'm sure that most of them are just some ancient panels from some dusty warehouse.

1200 vertical pixels is more space than 1080
for a given horizontal width you get more room with 16:10 than 16:9, whatever the chosen resolution
