There is no brain of a computer. The parts which process 1's and zero's are effectively just switches in a 1 or 0 state. Computers do not and cannot think

CPU is system 2 of the brain; more deliberate and logical; it's the prefrontal cortex of the brain. The actual conscious thoughts and decisions.
The GPU is system 1, the instinctive and emotional response; the unconscious doing of something you've learned through repetition; the part of your brain that things get offloaded to that become automatic. For example, driving to work/school and back. At some point, taking the route enough times, you basically aren't conscious about the drive; you'll snap to attention if something in your field of view alerts you, but otherwise it's a task that you don't put attention on. That is the GPU.
