I don't know man. I'm thinking about picking up Java. I don't want to keep up to date with js ecosystem every year, it's just complete bs at this point. Currently I'm going with Go, PHP with Symfony & Laravel, some vanilla JS with JQuery here and there. But I'm dreading learning Node, React, and other shit like NextJS, etc.

Eh, there's not a whole lot to keep up with desu unless you're jumping frameworks all the time, but I don't do a ton of frontend work these days. Also once you learn Typescript you'll never want to use vanilla JS again.
Go is awesome btw, I've used it a ton. Mostly doing .NET atm though

yeah .NET is pretty stable but don't want to go windows path, user i'd like to sick with PHP, Go, and Java(maybe) but thinking about giving typescript a go - don't see many jobs though also i get pretty bored with front-end, user and js front-end dependency hell sucks big time
