shit vs. shit... for both GPUs. difference is AMD doesn't try to SHILL raytracing.

There is no 60 fps card or 144 fps card. There's your build versus the game you're playing.

If you have a high end build you don't drop 2/3 of your fps with RTX enabled. Even if the RTX has several settings. I lose anywhere from 5-10%. Stresses my card and it's OC/cooling much harder, but that's expected.

If you're losing 100 fps w/RTX enabled you prolly threw a 3080 in some HP tower w/no cooling. And your card is thermal throttling due to increased usage. There is no RTX game that costs 100 fps for ray tracing if your build isn't pants on head.

Control was ray tracing to perfection. It added so much to the game and is absolutely worth it. World of Warcraft is a perfect example of meme ray tracing just to say you did it. A rando bonfire might cast a slightly different shadow on your face. Adds nothing to the game.
