Can I get a lengthy youtube video about what plan9 is and why I should care? I need something to play on the background, I'm at work.
>there's a general now
where was this popularity years ago, when it was still being developed?
Fuck off Plan 9 kiddo. Go back taking E injections and browsing plebbit
>9front

You only need 20GB of disk and 1GB of RAM, it should work fine.
wrong quote, meant to
>You only need 20GB of disk and 1GB of RAM, it should work fine.
You did not answer my question, so I won't be able to try it
You don't need to install to test it out, you can boot 9front with the ISO provided.
If you want that anyway, you can launch inst/start on a terminal and you will install the system.
I am a brainlet, I have VirtualBox, how do I install Plan 9 step by step?
try typing your question into the search bar of your search engine of choice, or even perhaps youtube.
Gonna add some new keywords to my filter instead, have a good day
why wasn't plan9 deprecated by inferno or whatever it was called?
>Two different OS. Inferno is dead afawk
>In a nutshell, inferno is a graphical vm for distributed applications, Plan 9 is a unix inspired general purpose OS
that's how 9planon explained it to me 2 couple threads ago
YOu don't. If you are a brainlet you are better stick with linux for now. You would only get bored and frustrated if you are not a poweruser

If you don't understand what's in there then it's not for you
Tranny chaser.
Because they are different OSes? Also why inferno would be better than Plan 9 in your head?
because of wikipedia
>Inferno was based on the experience gained with Plan 9 from Bell Labs, and the further research of Bell Labs into operating systems, languages, on-the-fly compilers, graphics, security, networking and portability
>Preceded by: Plan 9
BusyBox userspace is better than Plan9 userspace.
>Preceded by: Plan 9
So what? Ubuntu is based on Debian, openbsd is base on netbsd and they all coexist
The fact that Inferno is based on Plan 9 doesn't mean they are even comparable, they took a different direction
/thread
now make a BusyOS that works like Plan 9 and we're good
you can't /thread yourself samefag
Fucking cope, you are a massive faggot.
>they are just different ok
