Why new programming languages are slower than old ones ?

C is slower than Fortran, Rust is slower than C++, Python is slower than all previous ones.

rust is not slower than c++

so your monkey brain could write an app that supports having a window, text input and user-interaction in less then two weeks - you pay for the shorter dev time in cpu time

Is Go slower than Python or C# slower than Java?

What does Go have to do with Python at all?

IT industry is being paralyzed in some kind of a mass hypnosis. Retards want to create something what is not native language, for instance the browser native language is HTML. The retards are feeding HTML with useless javashit and then have the built-in javashit engine which has to translate that into a preformatted output which then finally gets translated into HTML before its served to the user. The retards also have needs to fuck up with CSS so now some simple news article takes centuries to fully load with 1gigabit connection and it takes about 3 times of electrical power to present simple text and a few images.

>6 wins for Rust and 4 for C

Rust is slower than C++, it’s about on-par with C in terms of performance.

They aren't.
Python is over three decades old. Lua and JavaScript are both newer and faster.

6 massive wins for rust and 4 marginal wins of C

Rust is faster in 4 of the benchmarks, C++ is faster in three of them, and they're basically identical in 3 others.

You are wrong, but it's because CPU time is cheap and manhours are expensive.

>newer and faster
pick one, fucking idiot.

They're newer and they're faster
I can't help it

You do realise the site give an overall comparison, right?

Because we upgrade our computers (consoom), poorfag

Why not both?

OMG what the fuck I am doing here with all these "coders" and "programmers" who don't know how to make things simpler for everyone. The saddest thing about the younger generations who grow up not knowing anything else, always thinking that these "modern ways of doing things" are the correct and best ways, will have to suffer when everything starts to crumble (which it already is). As a matter of f actualities, programming is engineering, it is not something where you throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks and just assume that programming languages, browsers, and operating systems are made of magical dust. Well, what can I say besides, fuck you!

implementations vary too much to show any sort of significance. stop posting this trash

These implementations vary because C is inefficient by design. Rust has compile time generics/code generation while C doesn't.

Zig.
