Bufferbloat Awareness Thread

Post your speed tests from Bufferbloat Test by Waveform.

Harness power of SQM + CAKE! Consistent low latency, dynamic bandwidth sharing, and priority queueing can all be yours!

Far more drastic is when it's done on a slow DSL connection. A single cloud backup would bring everything to its knees. Wi-Fi calling was impossible before traffic shaping.

Wait, am i supposed to not have massive ping when the network is fully under load? How does that work? I don't think it is possible to get around unless the router somehow knows which packets to prioritize but how would it know that without me manually setting it up telling it which ips have priority? Also i can do calls and video calls just fine, same with low latency gaming unless i am downloading something at max speed.

>12/18 ms latency while downloading/uplaoding 940Gbps
>not A+
come on...

>0ms latency
seems legit

Not amazing, but fine

Hoo man this shit drove me nuts for like a year when I was younger. Couldn't figure out why mom and dad streaming netflix made my latency jump in game from 50ms to 900ms. I understood bandwidth reduction from shared use obviously but the massive latency increase I didn't understand, even with different modems and routers. Finally learned about it and the dd wrt w/ qos and bandwidth cap and maybe the best thing that's happened to me. Issue seemed to be with the ISP and not my equipment, which they never cared to address.

usually a more powerful router can alleviate issues

Nice advertisement
Fuck off

lmao holy fuck

Literally unusable.

Interesting thread, you did well OP

ADSL connections get thoroughly raped when you upload. I have the same problem.

Nice shill thread

>one single ping is 6x higher than any of the rest
fucking ruined

>269ms max
>remove that single max ping and your second highest is only 35ms
You would've beaten OPs if you had just managed to do a little bit better

awful
