Then do something else. You don't have to be a programmer.

Not really I love my job. Maybe you just don't enjoy the field?

Wageslavery is boring. Imagine wanting a "job".

and

I've been programming since I was a teenager and don't know much else aside from data analysis stuff. I make over 150k/yr and something like a teacher job would only make 50k/year, maybe.
Don't have enough $ to retire yet.

>Data analytics
No wonder. That shits boring - challenge yourself more

every job is boring man, its just something we have to deal with

the normal flow of things is having fun spending money, not earning it

Yes, and that's a good thing.
Non-boring stuff is exciting for a few months, but a sure way to having an early mental breakdown
>t. non-boring programming job haver

If it wasn't then people would do it for free

found the non-married non-parent poster

Would somebody really work for free?

...

in Andalusia teachers earn more than software developers

Find a job doing something you love, then you will end up hating what you used to love doing

open source?

Agreed. After 4 years at a startup that went public I have just over $1M saved. Going to quit soon and spend a while NEETing

I can relate, I feel like I am in a permanent burnout and I'm only 35.

Don't know about him but I make $115k - I also have a wife and five kids. After mortgage, groceries, diapers, wipes formula and car payment there's MAYBE $300 - $600 leftover from my check.

>forestrychad
what do you do?

With 5 kids, that's understandable. I assume your mortgage is pretty high as well.
