While I approve of this, Apple might be on thin ice with this.
There's already murmuring about legislatively forbidding walled gardens like the Apple App Store and Google Play both in US and in EU.
Apple also is in direct conflict with Facebook's primary business model - selling ads. This reeks of anti-competitive behavior and if it happened in the 90's then it would split Apple into multiple companies with antitrust laws. Just like Microsoft almost was.
