To Those Of You Still Using Wired Peripherals (Keyboards, Mice, etc)

Why? What causes you to do this?

Is the rest of your house also cluttered and dirty, or only your desk?

Why don't you have the wireless trifecta (wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, wireless headset)?

it always just werks

Because it works just fine, is cheap and I don't need to worry about battery.

Besides Bluetooth audio is shit in comparison to wired with proper amp and headphones

1, I dont want to deal with replacing batters
2, The cords on a lot of inexpensive mice are so light and flexible that you don't notice it / doesn't affect you

Mouse is the only one that makes sense.
Keyboard doesn't move so more convenient to into have to replace batteries.
HQ headsets are all wired, so wireless is a stamp of SD headsets.

Yeah it's pretty stupid and ignorant of OP think a wireless keyboard makes any sense.

>it just works
In 5 years of exclusively using wireless peripherals, I have never once had an issue that doesn't also affect their wired ancestors (ie keyboard springs wearing out, mouse double click, headset mic dying

>wired is cheaper
It's not 2013 anymore, wireless peripherals can be had for the same or lower cost than the wired versions they replaced.

>battery
I change my mouse battery once every maybe 3 months, with 10+ hours of computer use 6-7 days a week

I change my keyboard battery even less, maybe every 6 months. Both of them take 2 AAs.

I charge my headset maybe once a week, turning it into an irritating wired headset for about an hour. But then I can unplug the wire and mine still works whereas yours will stop.

>wires don't matter
Your desk looking like shit does. Dirty, cluttered environments harbor dirty, cluttered minds. Clutter is defined as anything not necessary or useful, and wires became deprecated, at this point, several years ago. They are, by definition, clutter.

I move my keyboard all the time to work on other projects on my desk. A wired keyboard precludes that possibility, unless you're reaching under or behind your desk to unplug it every time you need to solder something or have a surface on which to copulate with a woman.

And even if you don't, as I said above: a dirty, cluttered environment will create a dirty, cluttered mind.

it just werks
I can reconnect it to other devices without fussing
I don't have to recharge things
Builtin USB hub reduces clutter

I don't want voodoo radio bullshit magic. I want copper.
