Probably, it will take long.
What bothers me since rtx was released is how it was praised while I did wanted DLSS to become the main thing, but back in 2019 people could buy GPUs. Now who cares about RTX? Everyone turned to DLSS and FidelityFX is nice considering a lot of non-rtx cards are still around. Wish this would have been a trend before the pandemic.
I'm using a 2060.

DLSS is pretty good but the real problem is we're stuck in years-old hardware now because most cards are mining for coins instead of wasting the prime years of men.

You'll be surprised to find around 21% of steam's hardware survey are RTX cards, either Turing or Ampere. I don't think Turing is distinguished by desktop and laptop though. If you add laptop specific Ampere cards RTX cards are 24% of the install base. So nearly 1/4 of gamers can use DLSS. It's quite significant.

both showing over 30fps which is playable. so why would i give a fuck

Fucking this. 30fps is playable. 60fps is preferrable. Anything more is pointless.

I shall not switch from 1080p so DLSS isn't very useful to me. I don't care for RTX, so Nvidia doesn't really have any pull in either regard for me personally. AMD cards are currently cheaper with either the same or slightly worse non-RTX performance. In a non-fucked market I'd probably grab a 3060 ti but it's not an ideal world and you either wait or go with what's around.

I kind of sad that the only reason DLSS works is that modern games are so blurry to begin with.

>has the most frames
>still gets rekt by 30fps console players
hmmm

I-I-IM UPSCALOOOOOOOONG

What's the point of buying a high end GPU if all your performance is coming from upscaling? Drop the bullshit and explain to me why we're even using dedicated GPUs anymore if they're not using the rasterisation hardware to display native res?

DLSS is a scam

display resolutions advance much faster than GPU power, native rendering becomes much less practical when you're dealing with 4k or 8k or whatever the next meme is

I don't waste my time and money on videogames designed for children.

Okay but why aren't all Nvidia cards low power 100 dollar junk that upscale from 540p or whatever? "You can't tell the difference from native 4K", after all.

Don't care because I actually make that much and I'm not a manchild who lies on the internet.

you don't need more than stable 60. I get unstable 60 so it looks like 20 sometimes...
