Gentoo requires no maint-
Wut? The whole point of Gentoo is that the constant maintenance gives you something to do when you're unemployed.
>Python
Deserved. Next time write in C.
>getting filtered by portage, the package manager for children below 13
I hope you aren’t serious.
Nobody ever said that. Gentoo requires constant manual maintenance. People will tell you that's the price of customizability. They're wrong. It's the price of customizaibility *on FHS*.
that's what you get for having non-purely functional package manager
lmao, who says gentoo doesn't need maintenance? The closest to this I've seen is people running the same gentoo install for 10+ years, that doesn't mean maintenance was not involved
Already depreciated.
Ends your distro hopping, it also has a bull as its logo. Bulls are really cool.
Try installing perl own in a separate terminal instance, the same can be said for ocaml. Recursive dependency errors are a pain in the ass most of the time, but they can be easily resolved

I kneel.

Get back to me when your bad attempt at a clone has a proper module system instead of its shitty services, you fraud.
Portage is sexee asf
not op but i run into this issue still as a newfag to gentoo
there's just too much info at once. so you suggest if you encounter dependency errors, to basically note each package, go to a seperate terminal install those, then go back and update the system
also any tips to avoid these issues in the first place?
fuck off baal worshipper
>nix and guix spergs shitting up the thread
every single time, just missing void
Guix services JUST WORK.
install gentoo
install gentoo
the only low-maintenance distro is slackware
