Game engine

Where should I start to get a basic game development environment in C++?

I don't want to mess with Unity or other engines, I want to write my own. I am personally stuck up on the renderer desu.

Go back and stay there. Video games are for children.

For me, SDL2, OpenGL, and C/C++ on GNU/Linux works great, Windows is for niggers.

i dont know what it is but something about opengl is off for me, i prefer other (perhaps faggy) renderers

Its harder and very complex, but once you "get" it, it makes doing it alot easier, what renderers you looking at?
also raylib.

i was looking at directx, and honestly maybae even vulkan (heard its difficult but easy to grasp at a certain point)

frankly i heard the contrary about opengl, and it was quite easy for me to set up.

perhaps all this is just me being egotistic

get off the internet temporarily man
