yeah basically something is wrong somewhere in the stack of drivers and dependencies which results in xterm unfortunately on my machine either flickering without doublebuffer or failing to repaint some ncurses apps with doublebuffer so i dont use this particular software

All systems should come pre-installed with CoolRetroTerminal instead of xterm. And y'all can go fuck yourselves if you disagree.

It's too bloated.
A tty with screen is perfectly fine for most shell work unless you are dumb enough to need to copy paste off stack overflow.
