They hate that westerners have completely far removed ideas of what media should cost.
Japanese people are ok with paying $40 for a CD or $60 for a single bluray with 2 episodes on it, westerners are more likely to spend that much for an entire discography or an entire multi-season series on bluray.

They're the defacto CDN for many scanlation archive sites like mangadex.
They could sue literally ANY cdn with the same justification, really.
I really hope this goes nowhere, being able to pirate japanese everything with ease has always been one of those constants in my life I can always look forward to in this cruel world, and now that's being slowly taken away.
