I want to install a good Linux distro

I want to install a good Linux distro.
Thinking about something based on Ubuntu but I dislike the GNOME desktop
I also didn't like the KDE desktop
Is there a simpler DE that everybody likes?

I recommend xubuntu.

Void Linux, it's light and it helps you learn Linux because it has just the right amount of learning slope to it.

Debian Stable + XFCE4 if you are a white man

Xubuntu or Deepin might be what you need. I actually run the Deepin DE on top of Artix.

Check Xubuntu (xfce ubuntu) or xfce mint

Try Mint with cinnamon, it has become my favourite modern de

yes, its called GNOME

Ubuntu MATE
Stay away from xfeces, it's trash

Linux Mint

Cinnamon and Budgie seem to be liked

pick whatever distro sounds good, you'll probably like XFCE or MATE after that you can try i3. After that youll go autistic and stick with cwm or twm.

Also slackware is the most mature and decent Linux, its what Arch users think they're using.

linux is trash. install windows. why do people install linux over windows anyway?
