I'm still sticking with my OS of choice for another 5 years until I eventually realise how shit it is and I'm gonna guess all of you will too.

What kind of retard thinks leaf clutter makes sense stylistically?

Bruh I just put Haiku there 'cause it wasn't on the list. Never used it, probably never will
Mason Perez
It was just an arbitrary pic of an OS nobody uses, not to say that I am a Haiku user

Write your own simple OS according to your own wishes (should be doable without wasting too much time) Write a hypervisor for software availability (run Linux/Windows/MacOS and other things in a VM) Use that hypervisor for software that you can't or don't want to write for your OS (like web browsers). Problem solved.

I don't care but people on Any Forums seem to really hate the BSD License

>Windows >> Annoying updates Stop being a guinea pig, stop using Insider editions.
>> BSODs Having 1K+ Computers on my charge the only times I've seen BSODs it's because of faulty hardware.
>> So much bloat That's just a lame excuse, you can uninstall it and there are scripts to get rid of M$ bloat.
>Linux: >> Frequently breaking Once settled and working, Why you keep tinkering with it?
>> Not user-friendly You can make it work like Windows or Da-iOS/FagOS
>> Limited software support You get what you pay for...
John Ross
I use BSD-3 happily. If you want to use my code, more power to you - better you mopping up my bugs than me.

>Windows >> Annoying updates It all happens in the background unintrusively >> BSODs Haven't had one in 10 years >> So much bloat I don't notice it. I have lots of RAM. >MacOS: >> Company has no respect for users All of Apple's products are sleak and clean which shows that they do care about their users >> OS tied to overpriced products True >> Company makes dumb decisions They do what they need to do. Their M1 decision was clearly a good one. >Linux: >> Frequently breaking Not for me. >> Not user-friendly True, but if you read manpages and use google you'll be fine >> Limited software support Write or port your own software. >BSD: >> Extremely small userbases Why is that bad? Whenever I have a problem with OpenBSD, I ask for help in their IRC channel and get help almost instantly. Small userbases are just more tight-nit. >> Very limited software options Not really. I have a web browser, pdf reader, epub reader, media player, text editor and different compilers on my OpenBSD workstation. >> The license Nothing wrong with it. It does nothing to you personally. And no one is forcing you to not use other licenses on BSDs. It's true freedom.
t. I use all major OSs and I see value in them all
