>upload public and available pictures that you can easily find through a simple google searcb and google images on my google drive >account gets locked >send a ban appeal >ban appeal denied >send another ban appeal explaining my case with even more details >sorry user there's already a ban appeal, please wait 2 business days
I'm so done with Google, what are the alternatives? Looking for Drive and Mail alternatives mostly.
Never fucking upload unencrypted files to any cloud. Simple as that. Next you'll find yourself investigated upon for some petty shit.
Daniel Howard
those pictures are publicly available from Google Images itself, there's hundreds of results
Andrew Russell
You shouldn't be uploading child pornography even if google has them on their own servers
Elijah Ward
I haven't uploaded child pornography, and it's already available through their own servers already
Jason Hall
So? Obviously they don't apply the same content policies to something that's not hosted on their servers for legal reasons and such. Want to use their shit with no problem? Then make it impossible to peek into. Nothing else will save your ass no matter the hosting company and their supposed stance on censorship.
Oliver Green
>ask for alternatives >braindead user goes off topic
Dylan Diaz
You don't need alternatives if you encrypt (until it's made illegal ofc). There are none. Besides maybe owncloud if you want a plain and simple answer.
Samuel Moore
>Mail alternatives mostly Warning: if you selfhost then Google/Yahoo/MS/GMX/Whatever will often ban you too and you'll have to appeal to them so your emails can have a chance of reaching users of those servers. Enjoy.
(currently waiting for GMX fags to unblocklist my email server)
Jaxson Richardson
Google can ban literally an empty document.
Lincoln Cook
A google ban just flew over my house
Isaac Nguyen
Mega seems like a good alternative to gdrive. The client is open source, and it encrypts the data on your side, so they can't pull stuff like google. Alternatively, just keep using gdrive, except you sync your files with it through rclone, which you can configure to encrypt the whole thing.
Levi Scott
The solution is to not rely on google to do anything, ever.
Jackson Campbell
By child pornography, he meant half naked pictures of little girls. And yes, you shouldn't be uploading them to the Google drives even if you found them using google search. Google is just indexing bra/bikini shopping sites for parents and children to find, not for pedos to fap to.
Christopher Wright
25GB just by using a normal account, seem alright for my needs, thanks user
Asher Morgan
home server
John Hernandez
If they're easily available why would you upload it to your account? Dumb move honestly. At least you could have compressed and encrypted the files before uploading.
Luis Campbell
He was worried they would be taken down once moral panic hits and parents realize that pedos do fap to their dear little princesses dressed in slutty clothing.
Ayden Kelly
Since covid, I've put all my work files on google drive, because it's convenient to work from anywhere. I don't give a fuck if I get hacked because fuck this job
Joseph Nguyen
no, I do paid tributes and it's easy to access to all the files that I want directly through all my devices
Nicholas Sanchez
Buy some web hosting and roll your own. It's easier than shit to FTP files to your own server, and the hosting usually comes with email as well.
If you're too lazy or dumb to do that, buy an email subscription and some file hosting. I use a company called Runbox. There's a billion others. Pay with your money instead of your data, your privacy and your dignity.
Kayden Sanders
is this a good alternative? Protonmail is too long and cringe
This is false. All they'll do is flag your mail as Spam and your recipients will have to fish it out of their junk folder and whitelist you. They won't outright refuse to deliver your messages. FFS, they deliver billions of pieces of commercial spam every single day.
[email protected] R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp H=outlook-com.olc.protection.outlook.com [104.47.17.97]: SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined end of data: 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from X weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.
You'll contact them, get them to unblock you, they'll say sorry and after a while they'll put you right back on the blocklist and you have to repeat this process again. Also there is plenty of whining regarding S3140 on Microsoft forums. They intentionally make running your own (not even public) mail server a huge pain in the ass. By making your own server you are taking away control from them. They can't allow that.
What was the image of and why did Google lose their shit over it?
If the image can be found with a simple search, can you tell us what to query for so we can see it for ourselves?
Was it pornographic? Was it violating copyright? Did it have anything to do with minors or appear to involve a minor?
Jaxon James
Alina Nikitina nude some people claim that she was a minor when she took those pics, already debunked
>Was it pornographic? yes >Was it violating copyright? i don't think so >Did it have anything to do with minors or appear to involve a minor? as much as looking for Monroe Sweet or any jailbait porn actress, so no
