Why is it so fucking hard to buy a monitor??

I just wanted a 32" 1440x2560 144hz IPS monitor with good response times without having to pay $500...

It's impossible...

VA panels are smeary garbage
OLED is too expensive
MicroLED is too expensive
Plasma is dead
CRT is dead
TN panels are just garbage

IPS is good but more expensive than VA

Sadge

be less poor or don't consoom meme resolutions

too big
get better taste if u want it to exist

I can't go back to 27"

32" is too immersive

What's the use case for that monitor?

>32" is too immersive
>screen is blurry
have you tried maybe getting a 4k panel of that size?

Be less demanding.

I just bought a 1440p 27”. First new monitor in like 15 years. It comes tomorrow and I am excite.

>screen is blurry
Eh, DPI isn't too bad at 32" 1440p at normal viewing distances

4k is ideal but for gaming I'd have to upgrade my GPU which is tough right now

I wouldn't day 27" is bad by any means but I'm used to 32 now

Noice

>it's impossible to buy 'a'
>immediately puts five extremely specific requirements

Be less picky or be less poor.

gaming + media + light pro applications like PS and etc

Honestly my biggest problem with the monitor market isn't really the prices necessarily, it just seems like it's impossible to get anything without major compromises.

IPS has great colors but bad contrast
VA has great contrast but awful response times
TN has great response times but awful everything else
OLED has great everything but has burn in and is expensive
Samsung has next gen VA panels with good response times but they are really expensive and only come with extreme curve

>IPS is good but more expensive than VA

LOL

IPS has the response times to have true high refresh rate unlike most VAs

Just buy second hand. Monitors don't get much wear because they just sit on a desk displaying shit. Pic related has your specs for around 250 dollars in my country. I'd expect it would be similar elsewhere.

CRT is dead because it is heavy and needs a bunch of space. My Mitsubishi TV takes up way too much space. I love my CRT, but it has its drawbacks.

That's a wide monitor.

I see plenty of monitors with those specs in the $300-400 range.

IPS though?

can you guys help me decide, money is no prolem:

objective: gaming (mainly fps and rpgs) on windows and console and programming on linux

option 1: 3 27" 4k monitors with one main gaming monitor with 144hz

option 2: 1 49" ultrawide with 144hz
