nothing, just werks.

get another DE/WM if you really want to

add the non-free repos, and install your drivers, I guess
that's really it, it sort of just works after you're done with the 10 minute install, not much to customize since it's gnome too

Delete the fedora customization package, disable apport.

Otherwise, just enjoy

Dash to dock if you like the default gnome look.
Dash to panel if you want a more kde like look, also install archmenu along with dash to panel.

If you're going to use rpm packages, add fastestmirror=true and max_parallel_downloads=10 to vastly speed up dnf.

enable flathub

It's 100% necessary to install rpm fusion repos... here you go. Endgame distro achieved.

>max_parallel_downloads=10
20

>20
1000. You do have terabit internet, right user?

Tldr do these op. My guess is you are going with gnome so customize that all you want unless you are going with the KDE Spin. Other than that these 3 things will have you set system-wise.

>*than*
I hate engrish

20 is the max allowable. Why not get them all going at once and saturate your bandwidth?

why does fedora run noticebly slower than debian on same hardware and same gnome DE?

if you have nvidia + integra gpu, then google fedora nvidia optimus

KYS with fire

Some important first steps:

1. Plug in a USB drive of 8 or more GB

2.
wget releases.ubuntu.com/21.10/ubuntu-21.10-desktop-amd64.iso
sudo dd if=ubuntu-21.10-desktop-amd64.iso of=/dev/sdX # replace X with the letter corresponding to your USB, usually sdb if you only have one hard drive/ssd

3. Boot from the USB drive, install and check boxes for proprietary bits and to download updates

4. when finished, reboot into the system, open a terminal and type:
sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade

5. Congrats on having the best version!

remove abrt
change your machine id to whonix one (/etc/machine-id or something)
install using everything iso and do not enable root accout(you can enable it later anyway if you want)
fedora enables many services by default(most of which you do not need) check and disable them
set journald to volatile memory
do not add fastest_mirror=true
firewalld on fedora workstation has a lot of higher level ports open. set your firewalld profile to public(it blocks everything)
remove fpaste

uninstall

install RPMFusion repo for ffmpeg, mpv, and mozilla-openh264 packages.

type the following to remove most of the garbage that comes preinstalled, also enable rpm fusion and you're good to go:

sudo dnf remove libreoffice* totem evince cheese gedit yelp rhythmbox simple-scan mediawriter gnome-weather gnome-maps gnome-photos gnome-contacts gnome-calendar gnome-connections

Download Ubuntu. Fedora is slow as fuck.
