I would teach you if I could, but I don't think Any Forums is the best medium for that.

I helped my little stepbrother a bit when we had a pool. Just go to a public pool or a gym and mess around in the shallow end after watching some vids.
You can do it bro.

>live out here in the desert
>never went swimming

>about to secure a date with a 19 year old big titted blonde
>failed the swimming exam
god fucking damn it

>swimming exam
bros please tell me that's not a real thing

just jump in a lake. if you swim it was always yours, if you sink it was never meant to be.

Unironically my father's philosophy. He threw me off a boat with weak floaties on my arms when I was 4. Extremely poor parenting, but I've always been a natural swimmer.

I keep telling myself I will start swimming one of these days. Women generally do not care though, they honestly can't tell the difference between an Olympic tier swimmer and a guy just splashing around for fun. In a woman's mind she thinks she just like Michael Phelps because she has tread water before so its the same thing. My 6pl8 deadlift is just kind of cool to her, she has no context for it. After all she has picked up a laundry basket before so it's kind of the same but different. One thing they are impressed by is a pull up. It's something they've tried and failed to do. Nevermind the fact literally every man can do a pull-up but most can't even deadlift half as much as me. The pull up is still more impressive to her. Women have a six year old's understanding of the world and rarely does it progress beyond this.

i learned to swim pretty much the same way. i mean it works really well so i cant say it was bad thing. it's like baby birds.

I've had people try this on me and I sink. Everyone always says "just lay on your back and hold your breath, the air in your lungs will keep you afloat" but no I just sink every time. If I could at least float it would make it much easier to swim as I would be way more comfortable in the water but nope I always sink no matter what . Any tips bros

i dont think i need to explain.

>Any tips bros
1. Stop panicking
2. Lift your legs + pelvis to the surface of the water and tilt your head back slightly (moves your center of gravity closer to your core, which is where most of the buoyancy is)
3. Use gentle arm movements to stabilize yourself as needed

dense fucker lmao. try reducing your density and maybe that will fix it

been swimming since i was like 3-4. perfected it by 8-9. what the fuck is wrong with you guys

questions for you guys.
im 25 and learning to swim rn at the local ymca. I cannot seem to float on my back indefinitely. i kinda get there and then my legs start sinking and then my waist and so on.
I am pretty skinny and lean. maybe 11% body fat. I can kind of swim well but i just cant float. not sure what im doing wrong. people say tilt head back more but then my nose goes under as well.

I'm a skinny manlet. Try again

I had a friend that doesn't knew to swim yet he had a gf.

also, lmao user, it may sound embarasing but if you could pay some fitness couch to teach you to swim (those guys are althetes) that would be helpful for you and it would be a more professional trait and he could actually teach you how to properly swim that you could actually do it as a sport and training method and not fucking mess around and be useless, like most people in fucking pools.

that's literally your problem retard, you're all bones. add some fat/muscle/anything else and you'll be fine. bones don't float on water, fat does

I remember in school we were supposed to do this and never fully getting it without moving my arms, it's not an issue though I can still swim across a lake if I want to.
