did you ask him how your lawn is any of his business or concern? I also grow my lawn tall so the bee's and animals can chill in it easier. My neighbor came over and didnt ask outride said when are you cutting your lawn its getting tall. I told him my lawn is fine and what business is it of his how my yard looks? he seemed a bit shocked and than said everyone cuts their lawns and since he lives next door my lawn makes his yard look bad thus its his bussines. I reminded him that only his yard is his business and none of the neighbors yards are his concern and he should get some hobbies if he has all this spare time to fret and fuss like a woman over people's yards. He than told me I better watch how I talk to him or else and I just said yes like you coming into my yard and barking orders at me.... suppose im reacting to that with my own or else. He seemed to get the hint and walked off yelling back that im a jackass and his yards value is more important than my animal sanctuary to which I yelled back he can happily move his nosy womanly ass somewhere else if he wants to play doctor garden. that was 5 days ago and I got a letter from the city saying there's been "multiple" complaints about my yard which means he called like 50 times and bitched like a woman about it. I'll be going over there and hitting him with my hands wrapped in chain later for sticking his nose in my business and my yard and i'll be telling him he's going to be mowing my yard every week for the next year.

The flowers bloom on their own this time of year. Scattered around various parts of the lawn. It would probably look worse having a short lawn with flowery/grassy parts interspersed.

They can and will fine you, and eventually size your property and jail you if you do not pay them. Personally I do a half assed mowing every month or so to keep them at bay but that's it. drives the boomers crazy.
