I'm 21, people say I have so much time and say "Oh how I wish I could go back to being young having so much time on my hands" But I still have no FUCKING clue what to do with this so called time, "Get a skill" they say, WHAT SKILL ALL I DO IS PLAY SOME VIDEOGAME I DON'T LIKE AND WATCH SOME ANIME THAT IS UNORIGINAL SO I CAN MAKE THE HOURS GO BY
I'm 21...
By "get a skill" they mean "develop a career that gives you a comfortably middle class lifestyle at minimum and doesn't make you want to kill yourself". This is pretty much where we are at in our society. Your supposed to sacrifice all your teenage and young adult years to the pursuit of capital or else it will bite you on the ass so hard later in life that you'll wish you were dead. It's actually not too bad, so long as you have meaningful social and romantic experiences along the way (this is the hard part).
People who work those middle class jobs have no skill, how is working in marketing or finance or some other bullshit career a skill, it isn't something difficult, all you do is intake information and output the best solution, it's all been done before. Maybe I have no clue what I'm talking about but that's my perspective
Skill = thing that makes money and/or gains respect. That's all there is to it. Doesn't have to difficult or unique. I can burp on-demand, but that's not a skill.
>WHAT SKILL ALL I DO IS PLAY SOME VIDEOGAME I DON'T LIKE AND WATCH SOME ANIME THAT IS UNORIGINAL SO I CAN MAKE THE HOURS GO BY
yeah, so quit doing that and go do something else that's a skill.
what the hell kind of retort is this intended to be?
I feel like I could do these jobs without going to college or getting a degree at all, but that isn't possible without some absurd nepotism that is borderline illegal, but no, I would have to pay an egregious amount of money to have the possibility to get one of these soul sucking jobs.
>programming
>foreign language
>cooking
>gardening
>hunting
>programming
Tried that it's boring
>foreign language
Already bilingual
>cooking
boring + don't have the means
>gardening
would probably be fun but again I don't have the means
>hunting
don't have the means and it's illegal unless it's for survival where I live
Same here, currently wasting away at 18 trying to get an bsc in applied science, but will probably end up dropping out and NEETing or an heroing
Fuck you young faggot, I'm 32. I don't want you to do well, I want you to ruin your fucking life and get in this goddamned bucket with me.
If you can't even figure out what you might want to pursue at 21, you are definitely eligible for getting into this dirty shitbucket with me.
Fucking faggot.
Hey fuckface, maybe I'm in the same bucket but at least I'll have the balls to kill myself unlike you, you fucking failed abortion
>already bilingual
Lemme guess, Spanish? Learn another language, Spanish speakers are a dime a dozen
Portuguese (dad is from portugal)
>eurocuck can't hunt because it's illegal to have a gun
LMAO. In that case, assuming you're still in Europe, travel. Start working out. Fuck, prostitute yourself if you have pretty boy looks. Use the money to invest.
where are you and what kind of job would you be interested in? Do you want to move in your job or sit in front of a computer all day?
Doesn't really matter, just want to make a decent money and not work 80h work weeks
I just don't know what country you are in so I don't think I can offer too good advice. As far as decent money without long hours I would suggest working for the government. Finding any kind of position that is low entry in your city is probably a good start.
EUW country
Honestly, don't think to hard about it. Just listen to your gut and instinct. You know what you should be doing deep down; do that. Everything else will come naturally from there.
yeah, my advice applies more to us and Canada as I'm very ignorant with Europe. Also, it's big as fuck with too many different countries so it would be impossible for me to give you anything useful based off that alone. Whatever country you are in probably still has a need though, so I would look into waste water treatment operator user.
I hope it comes to me someday
