i'd move to the words. I used to be in demand for parties and hangouts with a group about 10yrs ago and your phone blowing up constantly and your IM's going off constantly gets old AF after a few years. I prefer the much more chill and quiet life I have now where I talk to just a few people and see my irl friends once a month or every other month and the rest of the time I can just whatever. I occasionally miss the get togethers and hangouts but than remember all the drama and fights and guys simping hard for pass themselves arounds and a bunch of other crap.

popularity has no meaning after college. If you had it in college (or HS) then it might have residual benefits, but if you aren't popular by the time you leave that realm then it's over.

I'd act the exact same. I was part of the preppy popular clique in high school and I was still a self-isolating fool. Instead of engaging in the multitudes of free social/romantic opportunities that were handed to me, I chose to smoke pot and play Chivalry 1 at a competitive level. Do I regret it? Yes.
