vietnamese in america are i believe the poorest asian demographic, this is because a lot of them came en masse as refugees after the war. In comparison, other asian groups have mostly immigrated over time via getting professional work visas, coming as college students, or through family that was here. As a result, the chinese/japanese/koreans here are wealthier and more educated. They also built their own communities, while a lot of vietnamese people got spread randomly across the country in poor communities.
anyway, vietnamese girls are sexy indeed, but this is why they tend to have trashy/"poor person taste" whereas asian girls that grew up in better school districts want to be doctors and date like, mark zuckerberg.

i would guess its more due to china's increasing wealth, especially in cities, so an average american's level of wealth isnt that impressive anymore. This correlates with the shift we've seen very recently, from other country's brands like Samsung and GE having products made in China, to Chinese products now selling under their own branding like HiSense even if theyre modtly still at the value end of the market.
