Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire indicating differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. The test attempts to assign four categories: introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, judging or perceiving.

for the record turbie, i put your old link compilation in the old pastebin i had on the OP, so for your new one i copied the last paste and included your updated list. so, it's still here, just condensed to one link

>It could be relatively differentiated in comparison to the other auxiliary, that was never disputed. But Jung and Franz both say clear as day that there are typically three differentiated, conscious functions with one inferior, hence the problem of the "three and four." Personally I interpret it as "you can differentiate up to 3 functions" but "most people reach 2", including the dominant. The latter sounds like an observation that implies the process described by Von Franz isn't something that happens so often in full. So the third function can be mostly undifferentiated as well for many individuals, even if I don't agree with calling it "inferior".

As a INFP-T is there any hope for me living a good life should I just neck it now?
Charles Williams
i've never understood why people fight so hard to claim a title of misfortune.
Justin Williams
A feeling of belonging or wanting to "win" at least the title of "most unfortunate".
Blake Richardson
as long as you're alive, there is always hope. if you're at the worst point of your life, then it's can only get better; if it is yet to come, you have time to grow stronger. there's no point in giving up.
"I have little, therefore I desire to have less than nothing"
i don't see the logic.

It's not even a goal, it's just a title so you can wallow in self-pity.

Oh, so it objectively makes no sense.

No, the best loser is still the best in some way. Better to be remarkable somehow than both painfully inferior AND insignificant
Joseph Mitchell
dubs, but it still makes no sense. being the worst is not better than being mediocre, what kind of psychotic mindset is that? did you watch too many cartoons that talk about how you're special and unique? there is nothing of value in being the most misfortunate or the ultimate loser, and thinking there is is childish.
besides, everyone in the entire world who has access to the internet is misery-mogged by some blind and deaf toddler who was tortured to death in china or something.
>being mediocre They don't feel that they are mediocre, they feel like the worst, and seeing others complain probably feels like having their suffering trivialized or being taken down from a pedestal. In the case of r9k specifically it's a paranoid sort of victim complex where the successful, popular, attractive people come and destroy what little refuge you have left and make you an outsider in your own shithole. Also someone having it worse isn't usually reassuring at all unless you see that shit happen before your own eyes

>most people reach 2 Yeah, Von Franz never says this, in fact she pretty clearly implies that people ordinarily come to assimilate three functions throughout their life, and it is integration of the fourth, final function that is very rare and difficult:
>One becomes two: that is, first comes the development of the main function, then the assimilation of the first auxiliary. After that, consciousness assimilates a third; now there are three ... One can illustrate it in another way: there are a mouse, a cat, a dog, and a lion. The first three animals can be domesticated if one treats them well, but then comes the lion. Of course it isn't a fixed model and any person could integrate more or less than three, but Jung and Von Franz both directly and repeatedly talk about the three conscious, differentiated functions with the fourth being inferior and unconscious.
At any rate all of this started with me merely saying that "many people" use Ni (which is vague enough), and that certain cognitive functions do not dictate a certain type of communication style. Jung himself pointed out Nietzsche displaying different functions in different books, and he and Von Franz understood that the manner in which the cognitive functions manifest outwardly is also influenced by various factors. But the other user seems very committed to the notion of Ni being both super rare and special and also a guarantee that you will actively cause yourself to be misunderstood (rather than just being very reserved) as some kind of cope for the fact that people keep reacting negatively to his arrogant stupidity and poor reasoning.
>your type intp >what do you believe is your greatest weakness either being fat or being retarded when talking to people >are you working to counteract it eh nope :p
>Yeah, Von Franz never says this That isn't Von Franz, it was from Jung's introduction to the auxiliary function.
That aside, I can agree with the fact introverted intuition types are rare and it shouldn't be compared to another introvert who only has intuition as an auxiliary function, but that of course doesn't excuse the arrogant stupidity and poor reasoning since neither have anything to do with intuition in the first place.

>your type INTP >what do you believe is your greatest weakness inability to be authentic open or myself because i tailor everything to the situation to avoid problems, usually taking the form of extreme active listening to the point that the other person is talking to themselves and doesn't realize it. >are you working to counteract it no. >what function is your lowest on Sakinorva, what function is your highest Fi and Se were lowest. Ti and the N functions were highest.
