Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire indicating differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. The test attempts to assign four categories: introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, judging or perceiving.
>Which is false It's literally not false, The 3rd function is inferior to the second function. The two "auxiliaries" are not of equal differentiation. One is inferior to the other. Tell me I'm wrong. The third and fourth functions are the MOST inferior of the functions. They are the most undifferentiated functions. They are the pair of inferior functions. >whereby the function of feeling suffers Which literally means the fourth function is the most inferior, and the third is more differentiated than the fourth, but less differentiated than the second. Again, implying that the third and fourth functions are the least developed of the four, and thus the inferior pair. Which is literally what the quote says. >So it looks like He is referring to a thinking dominant, who uses sensation as an auxiliary. Because "feeling suffers a relatively stronger inhibition than intuition". Which again, implies that the 3rd function is also inferior to the second. Which it is. The second and third functions are not equal. No two functions are equal, Jung very clearly says this. Technically speaking, there are three inferior functions, because nothing is more differentiated than the dominant, thus they are all inferior to it. >The third function is also differentiated and conscious The fourth function is also conscious. There is no function that is entirely unconscious, nor is there a function that is entirely conscious. If you knew anything about what Jung is saying, he is not making end all be all statements. They are general rules. >You think illegal aliens are from outer space too? Yep, they're aliens that illegally infiltrated our planet. :^) >Where did I say otherwise? You said, and I quote: >but rather the three unconscious functions How can there be 3 undifferentiated functions if there's only one undifferentiated function? Which is it? >Just to illustrate how ridiculous this claim is The third function is inferior to the second function.

>Psychological types is still in a pastebin, and not directly in the OP Step it up, OP: wikisocion.net/en/index.php?title=Psychological_Types >Jung mentions that most people have one relatively differentiated auxiliary function Pretty much exactly the point I am making, and pretty much exactly what Jung says. One of the two auxiliaries is inferior to the other. Even the inferior is conscious. There is no such thing as a function that is entirely conscious, or unconscious. Differentiation does not refer to consciousness, but rather development. As a general rule, the functions that are most conscious are also most differentiated. The entire concept of Jung's typology hinges on "general rules", people need to stop acting like they're end all be all hard truths. They're general rules. GENERALLY, the 3rd and 4th functions will be far less differentiated than the 1st and 2nd, therefore the 3rd and 4th are the inferior pair. No one ever said the 3rd function is undifferentiated, it's just further from the consciousness than the 2nd, thus less differentiated, thus inferior to the 2nd.
