Getting on TV is good, but consider what AEW was up against before they even threw their hat into the ring. WWE has been around for decades and because of that is practically synonymous with wrestling in American culture (and probably many other countries too). They are a publicly traded company that spans globally. The Khans being loaded and having connections helped them get AEW off the ground, but it's still an uphill battle against an already established empire.

Biden won a primary where most of the candidates dropped out before the 3rd round of voting and where he won black voters in a south-eastern district that was historically a deciding factor for past presidential hopefuls. This would be comparable to AEW continuing to air while Lucha Underground, Wrestling Society X and Global Force Wrestling going off the air after 6 weeks because they do not hit the 18-49 demographic as consistently as Dynamite does.

TV isn't akin to a political primary. They don't have any competition, so AEW would be running unopposed in a primary scenario. Thurston's inane comments also implies that AEW should appeal to casuals after winning the non-existent primary. He's essentially saying that AEW should abandon it's identity when it's ready to compete with WWE in a general election that is also non-existent. Stupid tweet all around
