There is a chance that you'll be spared from baldness, but it's a small one based on that genetic record. I don't have any advice for baldness since no one on either side of my family has experienced hair loss, but dudes always say stuff like "get on (drug) as soon as possible".
>is there any way to escape the curse?
not reproducing and thus not cursing your children
its literally all genetics bro
you have no control over it
it's inherited from the mother's side . If your maternal grandad is bald you will most likely be as well
maybe finn or whatever else is out there, but most likely no. curse your ancestry as I have and buzz your head when it becomes noticeably thin. 2-3 guard like your pic has will look good for a long time, but when it gets as thin as he has it, go down to 1-no guard. shaving is an option as well but personally I find the no guard/three-days-after-shaved look the best. baby smooth shave is pointless because people still know exactly where your hairline is regardless, you can still see where the hair follicles are and aren't, and the ultra short hair means you head wont be shiny. alternatively you can uglybastardMAX and grow your hair out long like I'm doing now. my hair is long enough that I comb it back and gel it into essentially a skullet.
t. norwood 5a shaving my head since 23yo
if my dad was bald but noone on my moms side was ever bald then Im safe or at least a bit close to being safe?
no, she gets it from her mom too.
if your maternal UNCLE is bald, than that's when you worry.
>maternal uncle has thick long hair like he's acting in a soap opera
>maternal grandad had a thick head of hair well into old age, kept a 70s hair style all his life
>dad mostly bald
>paternal grandad and most on that side of the family all bald as fuck, the old ones look like busts of Roman emperors (which makes sense given the Italian heritage)
My hair is thinning heavily by the day so clealry it's not just maternal stuff.
I'm reasonably sure that's bullshit. All the men on my mother's side have full heads of hair, but most on my father's side are bald/balding. I'm 19 and my hairline has been receding at a steady pace for over a year. I'm trying to get on fin before it's too late, as I'll undoubtedly be fully bald within a few years if I keep ignoring it.
Nothing makes me angrier than bald men reproducing and spreading to their curse to their children.
start incorpating minoxdil shampoo into your routine to lengthen the time until baldness is inevitable.
Theres actually a good chance that it will just skip you. You're hair might thin a bit as time goes on but thats it. You can "escape" it by just taking some finestride or minoxil probably.
Lucky for you male pattern baldness is a genetic trait passed down on the mother's side.
You are a little safer. Everyone on my moms side is full head of hair but on my dad's side it is norwood 6 or 7 by 40 at the latest. Im on finasteride now as a preventative measure. The earlier you get on, the more success you have with treatment.
>dad has full head of hair at 55
>his older brother does too
>tfw barbers always tell me how thick my hair is
>tfw good hair genetics
This. And it used to be very common knowledge
It just seems people become bigger and bigger brainlets as time goes on.
I blame the education system.
horrible advice, min has cardiovascular side effects, ages your skin, and only works as long as you use it. there's usually a shedding phase too which will likely spurn on premature balding.
OP, just keep an eye out for thinning and get on finasteride the moment it happens. if it's still getting worse after 6-12 months, switch to dut
t. started balding at 18 due to a series of stressful events and kept 90% of my hairline from sticking with dutasteride since I was 20. I wont lie to you, there are technically sexual side effects, but they aren't common at all (2% of people iirc). The only thing you need to watch out for is getting off of it for a few months when you procreate, and once you've done the deed, you can hop back on. As an added bonus, if you have acne it'll become less severe because dht (the hormone fin/dut reduce) , and if you don't, it'll still soften your skin anyway. Also that dht is a byproduct of testosterone, so by using fin/dut, you get a nice comfy 10-15% test boost. It's like light trt without the worst side effect or normal trt (hair loss)
Wrong. You can get it from your dad.
Finasteride and topical minoxidil. Fin stops the conversition of testorone into dht which attaches to androgen receptors in the scalp and makes the hair follicles commit suicide most won't have regrowth on this alone as it only at best maintains what you have for decades or slows it down buying you time. If one year you have no regrowth from minoxidil try oral minoxidil since only 40% of men have the required enzyme in the scalp to convert topical minox into its active form. You could also try fluridil since it deactivates androgen receptors up to 90% locally on the scalp. Combine this with an antiandrogen like Ru58841 then you theoretically have halted the hairloss.
