Meet someone smarther than me

>meet someone smarther than me
>admire him and want to get on his level
>put some effort into learning from him
>finally reach his level
>realize he was just a midwit with more experience
>realize I'm still the smartest person I know
It just keeps happening.

>realize I'm still the smartest person I know
O rly

Same except I never actually get to the stage of being tricked into thinking the person's smart. It's because even when they have a very different background than me, I am still able to reason about what they're telling me and actually help them solve a few problems they're having, and they call me smart as a result. Meanwhile I have never seen someone correctly reason about problems on my side, even though I have confirmed from laymen they completely understand every detail of what I'm saying: it's just that the ideas they have are completely shit.
Also, it takes me a couple hours to get up to speed with the arbitrary topic the other party is talking about so long as it's not completely disconnected from what I know, and because of my tendency to collect esoteric knowledge due to digging deep into interesting parts about this topic, I always end up dazzling them with new facets of their own field they had no idea about.

See, you are so low-IQ you think this curve is actually related to the actual dunning-kruger paper. This is actually msm-invented nonsense. It's only useful as a meme, but 9/10 times, when someone references DK (let alone with this curve), it shows they're low IQ and can't cope with it.

Very based, my fellow polymath.

What are you even trying to say? Of course there is relation. MSM compounds and psychology are not even remotely the same either.

This has to be b8

L-lol? Please tell me you're not so dumb that you can't afford to even google and this is just a joke.

>his argument is some midwit buzzfeed contrarian pedantry
>talks about IQ unironically
You know anyone here can just point out that you actually mean g factor and not IQ and beat you at your own game right?

My argument is that I actually read the paper.
Your argument is that you believed cnbc, so now anyone else who didn't must be believing buzzfeed, whatever that is.
You are literally so dumb that you don't understand what IQ is or does or how it relates to g.

You dont understand what IQ is and you are coping. Try coming up with an actual argument and not charged ramblings.

not even OP but i had to do an honours on the DK effect. mostly it turned out to be bullshit. The better than average effect (where the majority of people think that they are above average in any given area, like OP here) is more accurate

Height correlates with IQ but for some reason you didnt claim that the other user is low height. Maybe you should learn what words and terms actually mean before you use them? Using IQ as a placeholder for intelligence is just as stupid as using dunning kruger as a placeholder for attribution error and other biases about competency.

>get BTFO
>n-n-no u
>makes even lower IQ posts than ever before
Really makes you think, huh.

Pic related is the graph from the paper for reference.

>who are you quoting, midwit?

yes but im talking about replication studies and review studies

There is a distinct wit ceiling that I see undefied, and I have talked to some supposedly very intelligent people in the past.

I can agree with that. I never realized how truly stupid introverts are. They are just inexperienced in almost every case.

If you're the smartest guy in the room you're failing at life. I'm not saying this to insult you but I've arguably been the smartest guy in the room sometimes and that was because I didn't achieve what I wanted.

t. low-wit retard who thinks it's statistically possible to not be the smartest guy in the room

>he doesnt go to actual high net worth rooms

Holy shit the irony is so thick, even a chef's knife couldn't cut through it.

>he uses metaphors to sound smart
Yikes

wish i was white, man

>hurr durr im smart because i know things

thats not intelligence and the fact that you think this shows that youre the midwit

>he is so marvelously retarded that he can't comprehend a simple statement because it contains an allegory
>so profoundly stupid he thinks it's a metaphor

>allegory
Lowest IQ ESL post of the thread so far. Definitely not someone with high net worth.
