Why the fuck would I want a job?

I don't even bother anymore man. Applying itself is a huge pain in the ass and you almost never get a callback. And even if I did get a job it wouldn't make me anywhere near enough money to be independent so what's the point? Maybe if it was the 60s and purchasing power still existed I'd have a job but with inflation, insane housing prices and high cost of living there's literally no point having a job in 2022

where have you been applying, OP? what's your resume look like? are you unhireable because of a developmental disability or extremely hideous disfiguration or something?

I mean there is a "greeter" at my grocery store who just lays in his wheelchair and groans at you as you enter the store. If even a paralyzed, non-verbal dude like that can get a job I don't see how it's so hard for you.

no i went to the top ranked university in my state and have 8 YoE

a lot of min wage jobs have this "are you disabled" question, and people like that get preferential treatment in hiring. i think their employers get paid to hire them

Same-ish. Was fine wasting my life on the computer, but now I'm 28 and so bored of it that I'd much rather be employed than NEETing.

Have you tried your local shops, etc? Anywhere nearby with a Now Hiring sign? Even just a quick Google "jobs near me". Entry level if you don't have experience.

coding jobs. i have 8 years of work experience, all of it is coding
they keep calling my phone and emailing me, clearly indian names .i get a phone call from an indian EVERY DAY. i usually can't understand them

i also get LOADS of car insurance calls, and other stupid scams. i think a lot of job applications online are fake listings they just want your phone # and sell it to telemarketers. the only people that pick up random phone #s are people looking for jobs

We're not in a recession and considering what the job openings look like I don't understand how you're not getting a job. What state are you in?
