Math Fixation in School

Has anyone else noticed a trend of math fixation in school? Mind you I graduated highschool in 2010, and in the last year I didn't even take a math class, but it was only because I spent years just struggling with it. I went to 5 different highschools and two middleschools, and saw a very weird trend

>all classes are given equal time, despite how much more complex they are
>Each type of math problem / equation / lesson is given only ONE lesson to teach
>the learning examples are of course easy, but the homework is long, and the questions are all 'trick questions', as they don't JUST use the original formula but require you to cross reference earlier formulas and find a way to combine them
>instead of teaching you how to do this, you are expected to know how to do this on the first grading, otherwise you are taught like you are not applying yourself, even though it is not taught
>the test versions are that times 10
>the homework is given daily as its the only way to learn, and if you don't get the first problem of a lesson group, you can be struggling all week as each lesson builds on that formula in a new way
>students feel so overwelmed and exhausted by this that they ALWAYS have their math homework, because being behind just one day would be hell
>but history, literature, etc. homework is often not there, and teachers feel like the entire class is a failure, even though they all did their math homework it just took them hours and then they were too tired to memorize history facts

i see it killing so many students struggling to learn.

What is crazy is im the most math minded person I know now, even though I Was getting like a D the entire time (i was in an advanced class)

High school math isnt exhausting at all, even ap calc. It doesnt require creative solutions or intuition for the most part, youre pretty much guaranteed an A+ as long as you do the practice problems on time, because otherwise you will end up cramming last minute and forgetting important notes. I think america needs a harder curriculum because we are falling behind globally.

If you are getting D's in high school math you are not math minded. You are a retard.

That isn't math fixation. Yes the problems on exams and quizzes will be harder than the homework, as you are expected to THINK not to memorize methods. That isn't what mathematics is about.
If you are too fucking stupid to get highschool math, you don't deserve a diploma.

What we cover in Europe in HS is what in America is called Calculus I. What we call Analysis I as a first year course, they call Calculus II. American highschools have terrible standards and new students take calculus I as a "remedial" course if they require it. It is not all schools, all the people I've met rom the northeast united states had a HS education equivalent to Germany. The rest of the America is in a sorry state.

The main christian factions here, evangelical christians and protestants, hate education and knowledge and are taught it is vile. They try to dismantle state education systems, graduate eduation, research, department of interior, department of energy, etc. and put more money into domestic paramilitary groups like ICE and CBP.
