Nothing really, as long as there is at least some challenge later on I see no problem in just chilling and killling some big monster.
It makes me feel powerful and good at the game, it's a nice feeling.

I remember adding a bunch of people because of the friend safari in Pokemon.
But now I think you literally can't add anymore, nintendo has already forgotten about the 3ds. It's all Switch now.
