Man I hate this technology. What's wrong with normal freezer doors? Why fix what isn't broken?

>What's wrong with normal freezer doors?
Those weren't able to flash ads. Sure, you could put static images on them, but why do that when you could take up the entire god damn door with advertisements?

Out of touch boomer execs who think slapping an ipad onto everything makes them modern and hip.
If only the corrupt ruling class wouldn't keep bailing these bumbling retards out with tax money and public debt every 5-7 years, then we wouldn't have shit like this.

hides empty shelves, and soon you'll have to scan your vaxxpass (tm) to open the doors.

lot of buzzwords. I should know by now but they make it clear by their language we are just cattle to be milked

takes less electricity than having the lights on in the freezer all the time

Also costs 50x to replace a glass panel with an LCD screen.

What technology?
Broken freezer?
I'm confused.
Can someone explain?

You're just pulling numbers out of your ass now. Displays are dirt cheap now especially when bought in bulk.

He's butthurt they put a screen inside a freezer door.

Also the cameras that observe your shopping patterns.

>nothing: $0
>75" LCD panel in bulk that magically install themselves and receive signals from the ether rather than needing a driving computer: $200
Yeah, it's actually infinitely more expensive.

Oh.
Who cares?
Glass doors insulate poorly. So it's an improvement.
As long as door under screen is properly insulated

It would be a real shame if an object from the sports section, possibly a baseball bat, slipped from my hands and shattered the screen.

A piece of plywood with a poster glued to it does the same thing and can easily be replaced by a wagie when Jamalquan tries to grab the chicken on the screen one too many times.

My bad, I forgot there's usually literally nothing in place of where the screen is on that freezer door. You are so fucking retarded it's unreal.

Slapping a TV on a freezer is infinitely more costly than buying a freezer with a regular door.
Most freezers come with one nowadays.

>cheap display = TV
Until you provide a cost analysis of both with actual pricing all you're talking about is made up numbers.
For all you know there's a layer of reinforced glass in front of the actual display which means only the glass would have to be replaced if it broke.

Go ahead and try to find someone selling LCD screen freezers. They don't, because it's so expensive that only a multimillion dollar company listed on the S&P can afford to spend money that frivolously.

If you knew the first thing about running a business you'd understand that the overwhelming majority of assets that are purchased are used to generate more revenue and profits.
Walgreens execs obviously understand this and purchased these for that reason. They're an attention grabber (case in point, this thread) and they can generate revenue in multiple ways using them (advertisements, cameras tracking purchasing patterns, streamlining inventory).

There's a simple solution, OP. Don a ski mask and be the change you want to see in the world.

They could have spent the money on coke and hookers and it would have made me more likely to buy some bland TV dinner.

Those guys already cokemax and hookermax, if they spent any more money on it they'd probably die.

No I wouldn't do that, I just won't purchase from them.
