cause I had a few tries of growing my hair before I reached this
at one point it just looked silly and my mom pushed me to get a haircut but last time I sticked to it and was a good decision

Some reason but both those too probably. I was growing it for a year and few months, it's not really much time but seemed to give results: if I brushed down my front bangs they would reach half my nose covering my eyes (to give an example of how long they were), but I don't have a "rectangular face". Pandemic was a good chance to grow them and to save come money in my pocket. The last few months it didn't seem to get any more length so I was beginning to think that that was probably the longest they could grow; one side of my head was thicker and harder to comb in way that wasn't annoying without the use of any hair pin/clip, perhaps I could have used one.
Then depression just began to hit harder and I didn't feel anymore the physical and mental energy to give them the proper care and stay 1hr or more to dry them and another half hour to comb them just to see them go wherever they want. Ironically cutting them made me more sad because it took quite an effort not to cut them earlier this summer.
I don't know if I want to try again.

In highschool it was pou with the old android phones, when a touchscreen was still special to people

I csnt tell if your hair has still potential but mine took nearly 2 years to be like this so u need patience + I use cocoa butter or a honey thingy under the shower to tame my hair
Wouldnt say combing my hair takes more than 5 - 10 minutes after I came out from a shower with that
otherwise the comb will pull out more hair than I am comfortable with and it doesnt stays smooth

bleh but yesh drying your hair takes way too long when its long
Oh and once its fully dry my mom tends to go make it even more smooth with a dryer
I think you can achive it also with these flat iron thingies
